✺- 190→El emperador Cómodo ostenta la dignidad consular por sexta vez, compartida con Marco Petronio Sura Septimiano.
✺- 195→Dentro de las luchas por el poder y el momento tumultuoso tras la muerte de Cómodo y el año de los cinco emperadores, el emperador Septimio Severo hace que el Senado deifique a Cómodo en un intento de ganarse el favor de la familia de Marco Aurelio. Además, Caracalla recibe el apellido "Caesar".
✺- 200→Palestina, beneficiándose de las políticas benevolentes de Severo, experimenta un significativo auge económico.
✺- 205→Cayo Fulvio Plauciano, prefecto del pretorio y suegro de Caracalla, es asesinado.

Al mismo tiempo trató de atravesar las fronteras hacia Siria y Capadocia. Parecía que los romanos querían intentar resolver el conflicto diplomáticamente, pero no fue así. Ardacher luchó infructuosamente en las fronteras romanas durante los años 230 y 231; como resultado el emperador Alejandro Severo (222-235) movió sus tropas hacia el este, estableciendo su base en Antioquía y a su pesar, teniendo grandes dificultades en mantener unido su ejército.
