William III of Angoulême was the twelfth count of Angoulême.
William III was a fifth generation descendant of Count Arnold I. He was born in 1084, the son of Count Fulk of Angoulême and the grandson of Geoffrey of Angoulême and Petronille De Archiac. William III's reign lasted from 1089 until 1118. In 1108 he married Vitapoy De Benauges. Their son, Wulgrin II of Angoulême, was born in 1108 and succeeded William III as the thirteenth count of Angoulême.

Guillaume V Taillefer, neuvième comte héréditaire d'Angoumois (né en ? - † 1120) était un seigneur du Moyen Âge, qui fut comte d’Angoulême de 1087 à 1120.
Guillaume V d'Angoulême était le fils aîné de Foulques Taillefer, huitième comte héréditaire d'Angoumois. Il épousa Vitapoy, fille d'Amanieu, seigneur de Benauge et de Saint-Macaire, en Gascogne.
Ils eurent trois fils, Vulgrin (qui lui succéda au comté d'Angoumois), Raymond et Foulques, ainsi qu'une fille, Graule d'Angoulême, qui fut mariée à Adémard III, vicomte de Limoges.
Il accompagna Godefroy de Bouillon à la croisade en Terre-Sainte qui se termina par la prise de Jérusalem. A son retour, traversant, l'Allemagne, il mourut dans une abbaye appelée Ducense, où il fut enterré magnifiquement, l'an 1120.
